Technical University Delft and Inter-Church Organization for Development Cooperation (ICCO) organized a seminar on technology and development. The central theme was (mis)communication. The cover image is a photo of soil samples on a reed mat. The samples are used to test for toxic chemicals within the soil that leak into water wells. Researchers developed a simple method based on color to judge the toxicity of the soil. We employed this "visual language of the soil" to display the connections between technology, development, and health.
